SACCI members & guests joined us for a day at the races where we found out all you need know about horse racing - just in time for Melbourne Spring Racing Fever! Members,  
- got an inside look into the Flemington stables;   
- found out what makes a great race horse;
- horse-syndicates as an interesting investment opportunity;
- and expert advice on how to place a bet!

A beautiful sunny day in Melbourne was a fine start to our first SACCI Flemington event in Victoria. After visiting the stables accompanied by host David Karpin and horse syndicator Joe O'Neill, both from the Victoria Racing Club (VRC), all participants were welcomed to the event by Victorian Chapter President Thomas Schmocker and invited to the buffet for lunch. Many stayed until the day's racing finished well after 5pm... A few wins under the guidance of David Karpin plus a big trifecta win for a lucky few. And we were very fortunate to have Peter & Ursula Casaulta from the Consulate General of Switzerland in Melbourne and board director Norbert Schweizer and his wife Sonja from Sydney joining us for the day.
